Question Clicking Noise from Frontend

Over the past week or two I have been hearing a clicking noise from the front drivers side of my car. The only time I can hear it is when I am coming up to a stop sign or to or slowing down under 10 mph. I can have the car in neutral and it will do it. It will do it while I am turning or going strait. it sounds like a card stuck in the spokes of a bike. Any Ideas, Car has 54000 miles on it?

So far I have taken the wheel off and looked to make sure none of the inner fender liner and is touching the tire. pulled the axle nut and applied some anti seize and re-torqued. I am not feeling anything in the wheel or in the pedals

Thanks for your help

I can only suggest 2 things....

Take your tire back off and check for nails/rocks stuck in the tread. And while you have the tire off...... Check the half shaft for play! Grab hold of it and shake it. (in, out, up, down) Other than that G/L

its not a rock I will check the CV Shaft tonight. I was thinking it was a wheel bearing but it does not howl or change tone or pitch when making turns

Anyone have any idea what the issue is? Several threads that just seem to die off. I'm having this issue and can't track it down.

When threads die off like this with no comeback I suspect it indeed was a rock in the tread. Who wants to admit to that?
