no problem!

dont get me wrong Mellon's map was and is awesome. i just wanted to try something else just to see. heck i had a 12.5 on mellon's tune so nothing wrong with that! i just wanted to try something before dropping ~$800 for cams and springs especially with the whole batch issue thing going on. i have to go to the track soon to see what my improvements are.

keep up the great work!

Thanks again guys!

Minor progress made today. Got the o2 bung welded on the downpipe during lunch. One step closer to getting the exhaust put on

Kev,

Congrats on the car, and very nice build. I am watching your parts list very closely, as I am starting a similiar build.

Curiosity question on the location of the WB02 sensor you installed into the Down pipe. I am puting one of these on and am wondering the recommended location in the downpipe for the addition of the bung?

Thanks in advance.

Kevin, any chance you can tell me where to weld the 02 bung in the DP for the WB02? I posted it earlier up in the thread, but I dont think you caught it.

Thanks in advance.

I've read elsewhere the recommended spot is 2 inches from top of downpipe in the 3'oclock position. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you, search wasn't helping, of course I probably wasn't wording it right.

Update: 6-27-09. Mellon and I got to work early, around 9AM. Plan for the day was to put on the BR 3" Turbo-back exhaust, wb02, and re-tune. Got the exhaust and wideband on with no problems then went out for a tune. The high temperature for the day was 98 with a heat index of 100+. We were about 1 pull away from being done and we started having problems. The car started leaning out like crazy. Checked under the hood, all the hoses were fine, so we figured it was probably the fuel pump. Turned the boost down to wastegate boost and tried another WOT pull and it still leaned out. Luckily I had purchased the Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump last week and it was at the house. So we went to my house and installed the new pump and it fixed the problem. Few more pulls and this is where we ended up @ 26psi:

It gained 34hp and 24ft lbs of tq.

G-tech:

60' 1.79
0-60 3.86
1/8 7.93 @ 88.50
1/4 12.37 @ 111.44

I was amazed by the improvements from the g-tech run.

Here is the overlay from stock:

Total improvement over stock so far is 73hp and 89ft lbs of tq.

We've got some video and more pics that will be up soon.
