Mine does a lot of whining. My wife still gets worried sometimes because she can't figure out what it is or she forgets that it whines after everytime I tell her.

mine does the same thing, only notice every so often and im like WTF? oh yeah, fuel pump. get a lot of questions "whats that noise?"... "what noise, oh yeah, THAT noise, thats my fuel pump"
"wow does ur car really need that much fuel?"... "sometimes"
see if u can ride is someone else's car that has one and compare. if its similar, ur fine, if its WAY louder, or off pitch, u may have an issue. ive run the walbro's in many a DSM and now my EVO and have yet to have a problem with one.

Dual in-tank 255's on my Cobra. It's damn loud when the car isn't running. Plus I can still hear them over my full Bassani exhaust and Vortech T-trim when the car is running, and they are in the tank under the trunk, completely isolated from the inside of the car.

New install here, and wow, that was easy! Mine didn't whine for about 300 miles, and then when I got off of the freeway today, and pulled in my drive, bamo, whino. So it sounds like it might goaway depeding on how hard you drive your car? I should say depending on how hard the pump actually works?

I have learned that Walbros work on either the "High" or "Low" loop.
Basically when the ambient temp and ECU demands higher pressure you get the "High" mode whine.
