What Donut Gasket for Meagan Racing 02 Housing?

What Donut Gasket for Meagan Racing 02 Housing?

I have searched and can't find an answer, even though I am pretty sure that it has been covered. What donut gasket do you use between the Meagan Racing 02 Housing and the downpipe? Can you use the stock OEM donut gasket?

The o.d. of the area where the donut gasket sits on a stock OEM 02 housing is 2.500" while this same area on the Meagan 02 Housing is approximately 2.62"/2.75" (see attached picture). I can't get an exact measurement on the Meagan Housing & I don't have a new OEM donut gasket to measure.

Thanks,

Dan (drb)

I'm pretty sure you use the stock donut gasket over again...

Use the stock gasket. Last time I put a stock gasket on the Megan it required a bit of work taking a file to the gasket though to make the inner diameter a bit larger.

Ah, finally this should solve my exhaust leak. I asked the same question not too long ago on here, and no one recommended using the stock donut gasket! I didn't think it'd work with the megan 02, but as long as multiple people say it does, I'll get one!

I think the OEM Gasket is very expensive. How much it is?

I think it was like $15 to $20. Picking mine up from the dealer tomorrow. The Mitsu part # is MR450703.

Stocl one takes a lot of shaving. Go to a muffler/exhaust shop and get a 2.75"donut.

Thanks, I tried that but nobody around here had one. I'm going to try and find one online for my next install because you are right , the stock gasket takes a lot of shaving.

With a little extra force (i.e. wood block and hammer as was mentioned earlier), my stock one went on without a problem.
