Best core size for building my own intercooler?

So there's a few cores out there that you can buy and just weld up your own tanks etc, so me and my buddy are going to build me an Intercooler since it'd always more rewarding to DIY.

My question is what would people's feedback be on the best core to buy for my needs/specs.

Stock turbo, all mods are in my sig, and I am building it for track days/time attacks. I'd like to someday upgrade to the 400-450 whp range but probably not this summer. So, based on knowledge I just gave, can anyone give input as to what will be the most effecient size?

As well as who sells weld your own intercooler kits. Vibrant does, but that's all I know of

Personally I would get a Buschur Race FMIC, its proven and cost effective. Since you're the DIY type however, go with the Garrett 4" core thats used in the Buschur Race FMIC.

Numbers should be:

486827-6002 23.7 12.0 3.8 23.7 1000 BP

Thanks,

Michael
