Profec B spec II High Boost
Im trying to run 30 psi on a BBK full turbo on e85. Im going to do a boost leak test tomorrow, but one was done a month ago. At 93% set I am only seeing 28 psi. Going over 94 or 95% I start to surge really bad during spool up, is this normal? How high have you guys ran your profec B to reach 30 psi? Does only 28 psi at 93% seem odd?
Thanks

What wastegate spring pressure are you using? Many EBCs will only permit max boost to be a multiplier of the spring pressure you are using. You may have to upgrade your actuator to a higher spring pressure before your EBC will give you the max boost you're looking for...

I couldnt go to high because I also run pump gas at 22 psi, I would really like to get it to work a little better with just the ebc right now. I know other people with the same turbo or even a stock turbo that can easily hit 30 psi. I will go that route if need be though, thanks for the input.

I am at 60% for 26 PSI if that helps, and I am on the stock turbo & WGA with the turnbuckle preload at only one turn...
1. 60%
2. 5% (anything above this and mine flutters and surges)

I assume you mean one turn in on the nut from the factory setting? Do you know how many threads you have left?

Mine is set to 78 to hit 30.4 if I turn it to 79 its 31. Once on accident I hit 37 with it turned to 90. I was using the stock bov and switched to the syncronic without adjusting the first setting and zoom. I let off when I saw 32+ but it went to 37 before I could get off it.

The general setting people say to use for start boost, or set gain, is 4 psi less than your target boost. I have to have mine set at 10 psi while my target is 22 psi. If I set it to 18 psi I will spike bad. Anyone else noticed this? This is on a BBK Full turbo. I really did not see any slower spool, just checking to see what you guys think.
