Al,

Nice info, and kudos to you for being one of the few that has provided a meaningful dyno overlay of stock and competitive tuning solutions!

Gotcha. So do you know which Works flash it was?

Yes removing the restictor appears to increase the peak boost a bit. I want to do some dyno testing on cars with and without the restrictor to map the actual boost and see what the effect on the power band is. I should have that done by the end of the weekend.

There is nothing to "learn" from the other "guys" - the boost map in the ecu is so simple even a two year old could do it - all we do is set a mili second delay to 10 mins and then the car will hold the peak boost to red line for an up to 10 min pull - which I think is prob long enough for most of us !

What I am deciding now is wether or not to also offer a line restrictor removal with the reflash - dyno results will let me know if the extra spike up in boost is something that we want to have in our tunes or not

I know "someone" who has the P1 and the rest of the car is stock that is having their car dynoed tonight at Altered Atmosphere. They are doing 2 baseline pulls along with an a/f ratio. I will post their results tonight. Monday they are sending the ECU to WORKS for the P2 and will have the car redynoed at the same place thursday including a/f and I will post that as well.

Thanks - We have nothing to "hide" - the dyno speaks for itself - a/f numbers and dyno curves show the story

It didn't take "months" of development time - it just takes about 1.5 hours of honest hard work on the dyno making slow adjustments and corrections and matching the tune to the particular car. Out of the 3 blue modified evos we did yesterday - each one needed a radically unique timing and fuel curve. This confirms our business plan to stay with individually tuned custom tunes with any evos that have modifications.

Its important to note that we left a good 10 hp more on the table becuase we ran this car a bit rich to allow for cold air density over the winter and winter gas mixtures - we always like to stay under 11.5 a/f on street driven cars and closer to 11.0 near points of peak cylinder pressure. Having the customer there to give input on his driving style, needs, and type of fuel commonly used is essential to setting the right level of tune

I would LOVE to get out that way again - I was just out there two weeks ago - I miss the beach volley ball playing thong wearing surfer girls already!!!!!! Man CT sucks ! If someone wants to arrange a dyno day out there we can do several evos in one shot at our ususal price of $595.00. Just need a awd dyno for the day and we'll be ready to roll! If anyone is interetsed PM me some details on local dyno shops and we can arrange the details.

Its $595.00 regular price including all the dyno time - which is about 1.5 - 2 hours right now - not a bad deal. We are running a "beta tester special" right now. The deal is you have to let us post up your dyno sheets (normally they are all confidential) and promise to keep in touch with us about how your tune is working over the winter - its a $150.00 discount off the regular price - $450.00. That special will be over shortly but is still available.

Bahh, you = CT, me = MO
We have a dyno day planned here (St. Louis) at an awd dyno. Its currently set up with works, but we were all expecting a $550 - $600 generic chip. I would love to have a custom tuned chip. We'll have to see how this whole thing plays out. Maybe a midwest dyno day will be in your future......
