Resonator

I have a full megan turboback exhaust including the exhaust manifold and the invidia o2 housing and no cat........i'm about to cut out the resonator this weekend to free it up some more......has anyone else done this just wondering? i tried searching the forum but only found oz rally lancers who did it.

i'm running the test pipe in place of the cat right now i am about to cut out the resonator and just weld the 3 inch pipe in its place

you aren't the first person to cut a resonator out of an exhaust if that is what you are asking

I have a muffler but that's it

i just want to kno everyones opinion on how it sounds? to loud inside vehicle? is it worth the time and effort? and sound clips or videos on youtube?

If I'm not mistaken the Megan exhaust uses a perforated resonator. Now let me ask you, does this look restrictive to you in any way?

Left resonator only. The right one is louvered style.



I'm going to assume that you agree with me that it does not visually look restrictive in any way. Even on high horsepower cars it only made 0-3 horsepower difference in which could have been a resault from other things. So dont waste your time cutting it off for power.
