Full-Race Twinscroll 35R + AMS 2.3L + GBR Race Team Build = FAT powerband
i saw this great post from a customer of ours and wanted to throw it up here for anyone who missed it. EvoM user Respo brought his road-race project track evo re-build to GBR in Sanford, Florida. They recently completed this simple yet extremely well thought-out setup using an ams 2.3L stroker, Full-Race twinsroll 35R turbokit and Full-Race fmic/piping. The powerband is spectacular considering this was done on a mustang dyno at only 17psi and 22psi... and their shops first evo
at only 22psi boost:
200 lbft @ 2800rpm
250 lbft @ 3100rpm
300 lbft @ 3500rpm
350 lbft @ 3600rpm
400 lbft @ 3800rpm
450 lbft @ 4000rpm
Engine Specs
-JDM Mitsubishi (evo extreme) motor
-AMS stroker w/ GBR spec 86 mm pistons on Oliver Rods
- Fullrace 35r twinscroll turbokit 1.06 a/r + FMIC + Piping
- AEM EMS
- Twin Carbonetic clutch
-Solid lifters, fuel and oil upgrades.
-Ferrea valve train
- BC 280 cam[/quote]
thanks for looking

This is our first Evo build as a shop, my partner is from Ireland and he's been a Evo nut ever since the 3's. He has owned just about every one including a tommy Mak. edition Evo 6. They are growing on me, I was always a Subie head because I was crew chief for Subaru team in World Challenge 03-06'
FINALLY we have some numbers for you guys. Tuned it yesterday afternoon with slight drizzle and lots of humidity! gotta love Florida!
On a mustang dyno using mustang numbers (no b.s.) We are started at 17.5 psi with final numbers at 414 hp adn 393 tq.... Then took it to 20 psi with final numbers at 443 hp and 432 tq.... Then 22 psi (final) with numbers at 494 hp. and 480 tq.
The way we did the head and degreed the cams this thing loves AIR. The thing we love the most is TORQUE- this motor is close to square. Look at how early boost comes in, we hit peak before 4k and rev to 7400 (off the chart) perfect for track!!!

Wow, that is impressive. I'm going red on my stock motor and eventually will go to a 2.3L stroker. I wasn't sure that I would move from the red, but these results have me thinking now.

That is an amazing power band. I really like the dyno on 22 lbs. I am sure he could crank it up but very fantastic results. What fuel is this on? Maybe i am missing it but I can't find it in the post lol.

looks like a subi STi dyno chart on a evo, seriously...almost identical
I bet if I said this was a regular 35r setup on a subi, nobody would say a word...spools nice but a subi 2.5 can spool a 35r definitely around 3600 rpm with low boost

like you said it is strikingly similar to the TS35R evo from this thread
if you are interested in can throw up the Twinscroll 35R dyno plot from the UMS time attack evo (2.1L long rod w/ Tomei 280 cams)
