PS I had the green in, the yellow in, and the blue. Now the blue with two shims.
The one thing I did notice is the pressure came on quicker and the boost was 1psi higher with the two shims. I guess it was not sealing all the way.

Just tried it upsidedown with the blue spring and two shims. Still the flutter happens.
It does sound a different. It sounds as if it is not working near as hard to open when you let of the gas. It is when you have part throttle, the boost lets off, but you still have a little gas being given to the engine....then Zaa,Zaa,Zaa the darn flutter.
I think I am going to leave it in this configuration. It is not as bad as the other way, but still not satisfactory.

So by upside down, you mean the piston? In your opininon, is it worth going through the trouble for something that won't be perfect? It won't suffice if the jerk is still there.

The stock posistion is were the vaccum line is horizontal, like the stock unit.
If I was to do it over again the forge would not be a part I would buy.

yeah make sure the BOV is in the right direction. when i was installing my friend's HKS intake, i accidently installed the BOV the other way. it makes that flutter sound like some of the JDM cars u see in Best Motoring. mine was just a loud whoooosh. so i looked carefully and it was in a different position than mine. i reversed it and it sounded normal.

Hey guys we another thread about this as well:

Fireball, can you give an assessment of your "fluttering-ness" for various rpm points like I did? I'd be interested to see how it's working for you. I'm running the yellow spring right now w/ no shims...
