ok so i just converted over to E85 and was tuned and E85 is great btw.. but i was on the highway and i was wot and my boost line to my gauge poped off so i let off the thottle didnt boost was about 2 mins away from home so just drove home poped the hood to put the boost line back on and the oil dip stick poped out alittle and shot some oil so pushed that back in and put the line back on checked the oil level was still good so started it up and it sounded like rod knock just had that checked because rod bolts were installed and barrings and rods are fine including the rod bolts any ideas???? no its at the shop right now but it sounds just like rod knock

yup, rod knocks sucks. did that on my 97 gsx and man does it suck. i could feel the pain for my car. hope it's not that. good luck.

 

ok so found out what it was timing belt tensioner went at 47k !! oh well at least cought it early did a compression test 185 each cyl and no bent valves ....
