6 speed conversion to 5 speed

Hi guys, I am currently driving a 6 speeder Evo 9 MR Gsr & is considering to do a 5 speed swap with a 5 speeder Evo 7 Gsr.

From my understanding, the E7 Gsr has the acd in the front & ayc in the rear.

My E9 Gsr has the acd in the front as well but Sayc in the rear.

Am I fine in swapping out the transmission, cables, shifter, box & etc only or the front acd, rear ayc & ecu has to be swaped too?

Thanx in advance guys.

Victor

In Singapore or the JDM market, the Evo 9 MR came in 2 versions...the RS & GSR

MR RS - 5 speeder, ACD/LSD, no a/c, power window, brembo, recaro & etc

MR GSR - 6 speeder, ACD/SAYC with all options

Thanx alot for the advice. You are saying I am fine with just swapping out transmission & etc without the ACD/SAYC?

Victor
