Ditch that turd 3076 and just get a 35R/hta35R - no joke. I had a 30R on my 2.3 for a few months and switched to a 35 and you will not see a big difference lag wise.

I agree, I had a hta30r for a few months now I got something a lot better. A 30r doesn't belong on a Evo.

I run a ams 2.3 and a 50 trim and belted out 500 whp and 468 torque..... I feel that its a pretty good comprise of power since my car is really just a DD with the occasional drag strip here and there.....

I love my combo

if I really had the ballz to buy another engine though it would be the AMS 2.3RR motor. That motor is just NUTZ, gives the ability to have the increase in torque but still rev it out.

Well for now I will be using the 30r will replace it later on... I do some road racing so want to test the 30r on the road coarse. It was laggy with the stock 2.0 but I have heard good things with it on a stroker. Besides since I already have this turbo and cant afford a new turbo while doing the 2.3 build it will have to do for now =) My new setup will consist of 2.3 w/3076r roadrace stealth kit, kelford 272 cams, magnus sheetmetal intake, 1000cc injectors, walboro fuel pump, upper and lower ic pipes, tb exhaust, hallman mbc, supertech dual valve springs, pwr 57mm radiator, hks intake, stock ecu flash. All I can think of at the moment =)

I would say 2.2L + FP Red
2.2L can rev quite a big higher then 2.3L/2.4L yet can spool faster and that with FP Red which can make power at high rpm i think is the perfect street/time attack combo
Try to look for nils road course video,he use FP Red + GSC 2.2L i think
