I don't think adjusting the clutch pedal will help any. Even with the slave cylinder removed the clutch fork won't come back to a "normal" position.

What's to adjust? The slave is already over-extended and the clutch fork is sitting too far to one side, even with the slave unbolted and not touching it. Messing with the pedal isn't gonna fix that

Yuppers, more ideas welcome so it doesn't have to come all the way apart again.

yeah man that really sucks...do u guys think the slave cylinder could be the problem keeping the clutch from releasing at the normal position? if thats not it it has to be internal. was the TOB chattering?

I didn't hear any chatter, but I didn't drive it.

Is it an OEM tob? I have heard of many problems with non-oem tob's. That sounds like your issue. Very unlikely the pressure plate broke. If it did I would stray away from those clutches.

Yup he has an OEM tob in there, the original comp TOB failed a few weeks back and destroyed his pressure plate. MAP swapped in a new clutch and OEM TOB, courtesy comp.

Yup, I already had a Comp TOB failure and that was replaced with a new OEM Mitsu TOB two weeks ago. Its not making any unusual noises compared to before this happened. The car is up at MAP and they're going to look at it today and hopefully find the problem. This clutch kit had about 1,600 miles on it when it failed (500 proper break-in, ~100 regular street driving, 1000 drive to Texas).

I just got word from MAP that my car is fixed. Sounds like the TOB popped off the pressure plate but must have been just barely hanging on for dear life to survive the trip up from Texas yesterday.
