FP wastegate actuator questions
I tried to call them for advice, but had to leave a message.
I have a Green on my car with all supporting mods.
The person that put it on the car before I had it , just got the standard WGA.
I have been trying to tune my EBC a little better today and it just keeps bleeding down to 23PSI which I want to hold more to redline if I can. I bumped the Duty cycle up pretty good and still same affects so I dont think my EBC is going to help mpre.
I was looking on their site and they have a new HP wastegate actuator. Anyone have any info on this?
I want to be able to hold 30ish PSI if I can find a way. 1st stage is set to 25.5psi and bleeds to like 23 and second stage is set at 28 and bleeds back to like 23 or so.

I have the 25psi wastegate on my car. Go look at my dyno of before and after. it is a 30lb vs. 35lbs but you can see that it held 5+lbs more all the way to redline. I had the stock wastegate on the 30lb run and it was preloaded as far as it would go. It made a big difference over the stock wastegate! I picked up a $#!^ ton of mid-range torque and horsepower. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7314465-post62.html

looks like your still bleeding off 10psi or so of boost though.
I would really like to hold this to redline if I can.
what about the Forge motorsports one?
Right now off the wastegate I have it reads a like 12psi pressure. So essentially i am going over that double rule.

Ok, now i'm not thinking that you are understanding. You can weld the flapper shut and the turbo will still not hold much more than what I am at redline. Its all about what the turbo itself can flow. My setup is way over the effecieny of the stock turbo and I'm holding more than almost anyone that I have seen dyno wise. That was also on a MBC. I'm going to ECU controled boost and I may be able to hold a bit more at redline but you will not hold your spike psi all the way to redline. What are you calling redline? 7k, 75k or 78k etc... What turbo do you have? Stock or green?

I am running an FP Green turbo
I know it will bleed off a bit, but it looks like the magic number is 23psi with this turbo.
I would like to hold a couple more pounds to redline .
I wanna make sure this is going to be worth the $200 before I drop it.

It's not about 'bleeding off boost' it's called boost taper, and all stock frame turbos will do it to some extent. The green is no better than the stock turbo when it comes to taper. Ultimately more boost doesn't always mean more power, but on E85 you have a good chance at making more power with more boost. Just remember that you're going to be at the point of diminishing gains, 10whp may not be worth blowing up your turbo or your engine

We are assuming a little too much here. A good IC and tune alleviates this.
I guess its going to boil down to running a bigger turbo then since no one feels this thing will keep up with RPM's.

It will a bit but not for what your wanting. on 30lbs with the 11psi wastegate and the 25psi wastegate my power over 6.5k went down 1-2hp and i was holding 4lbs more with the 25psi. just because you are hold more boost above 6k doesn't mean you will make more power. I lost power. I gained hella midrange though

Important fact is missing in the higher boost to redline comments. As the turbo increases it's boost at higher RPM's, it does that by increasing the shaft speed of the turbo. Outside of FP, I'm one of the few who actually monitors the turbo's shaft speed. The Greens limitation is somewhere around 150K RPM's. As the boost goes up with the RPM's, so will the turbo's shaft speed. With the increased speed you approach the limits of the compressor wheel (distortion, don't remember the exact term for it). Also, the bearing is closer to failure. Just wanted to add another dimension to the discussion.
