The problem is that no one i can trust in ny know how to do only n.j or ct but dont feel like driving two years and dont want to wait a week or two to get it back cause its probably going on the car wed...but i did find a shop that works on hondas that are famous and he's my friend and he said he'll clean up the lip and smooth it out for me cheap....

Porting the exhaust manifold, turbo and o2 will decrease lag. Regardless of what "who" says.

Flowing more air - without turbulence - will always make more power.

i say port it as well. Mine has never been mounted in my car i plan on sending it to ppi to get the hotside ported and coated. i already have a ported 02 and ported buschur t/b and going to pick up a fully built head and ported intake with tubular type manny. Mellon told me to port my hotside reguardless if i went with fully built head just flows better he said and i trust him above all after all he tunes sooooo many evos he see the different setups etc and learned plenty from unported cars vs ported numbers.

surely you can do some yourself if you can't get your trusted buddies to do it soon and sending it away is a no no!
get some porting burrs you will enjoy it
