Tightening the pulley on the A/C condensor?
The pulley on my A/C condensor seems to be slightly loose, causing it to rattle back and forth sometimes when the A/C is on. Not a big deal but it's kind of an obnoxious noise, does anyone know how to tighten it up?

I doubt that the AC pulley is loose. The AC compressor, when running, creates some vibration and this rattles parts in the transmission or maybe the throw out bearing. My car does it too.

Oh, alright. I just looked at it while the car was running and it looked like it had a bit too much play in it. There doesn't appear to be a bolt on it so I didn't know what the deal was. I guess I just won't worry about it.

Before dismissing it completely you could release the tension on the accessory belt and see if the pulley spins freely. With the belt loose you could also check for any movement in the compressor mounting (loose bolts) and check for play in the shaft going into the compressor. But like I said, my AC has always made noise at idle so I suspect this is normal.

Mine used to chatter a bit but it was nothing to really even mention, but now that I have the blox anti-roll motor mount, it gets a bit loud at times. I might check it out tomorrow and see if anything can be done.
