anyone have any problems with high flow cat or cat delete?
I am trying to remain warranty friendly. I would guess if they say a test pipe, that would be a reason (lame reason, but..) to possibly try and void some part of my warranty.
Anyone have any boost issues or problems with a high flow cat?
I am hopefully getting B&B exhaust with high flow cat (i think).
at least the cat would be there vs a test pipe.

Are you planning on getting some type of boost controller? A 3" turbo back can increase your boost.
I don't think warranty would be a issue (could be wrong) but legal could be. Most states you are not allowed to touch a factory CAT for 3 years or you must have documentation to state damage to it.

I personally remember problems with GMC Typhoon's if you ran a testpipe.... so I was thinking the same issues may be there with a test pipe on the Evo......
I will get a high flow cat instead.
thanks

They didn't have a problem working on mine with a 3" hi-flow cat on though.

If the test pipe is not run with a cel fix of some sort, the car, upon throwing a code will attempt to correct the A/F which will cause it to run extremely lean. We have seen an extremely dangerous over 1 a/f point of correction, especially in the 2000-4000rpm range.

what exactly would happen if you were to run really lean, i have a perrin cat delete pipe with the cel fix but as you all know most of the cel fixes from perrin dont work and have ran my car for about 2 months with the cel on, is it bad will my engine produce less power. i have noticed that it smells very lean but i am not sure, any fixes or diy to fix, now i am all paranoid and am afraid i am doing something wrong. i will try to re wire it but it never works, i have re wired it three times. HELP now i am actually really worrying.
