$12-13K! How would you create 500WHP+ Monster?!?!

As ther title says, I'm looking for a 450-500WHP monster with 400+ lb-ft on a low-reading dyno (no cheater dynos here )

FUEL PUMP ONLY (93)!!!

I have a budget of 12-13K(without labor), and I was wondering what the ultimate setup is!!

This car is my daily driver, and LAG IS MY ENEMY!!!!! The car now is as virgin as it left the factory, not even a single bolt has been removed!!

I was thinking of putting an FP Red on a 2.2l stroker, but thought I would take recomndatons from experts before proceeding!!

*** Those who REALLY know how to do proper setups, please do not ignore the thread

Thanx n advance for your help

Waleed.

first, a red will hit your 450whp, but on pump gas only, will have a hard time hitting 500whp (especially on a low reading dyno). if you want 500+whp on a low reading dyno i would be going 35r. BUT if you want something with minimal lag, go red.

mods:
FP red with the oil feed line
walbro 255
1000cc injectors
kelford 272 cams
FP beehive springs
buschur LICP
buschur race IC
Buschur UICP
Buschur intake with MAF adaptor
forge RS BOV
65mm throttle body
ported intake manifold
3 port boost controller
tune

that should slide in at about half of what you have to spend.

if you have 12k to spend then I definately would go with a stroker motor. You will have your torque numbers.

35R for the power
and 2.3 stroker kit should reduce your lag
but i guess its abit over your budget

i would say a 2.3l with a RED or the new BBK turbo once finalized. GSC S2 cams, ported ex/in manifolds o2 housing, TBE, bigger injectors i'd say 1000cc just in case, FMIC, MBC, fuel pump, Amsoil Airfilter and a kick *** Mellon tune!

thats my dream setup anyway.

Mods::
Gt35R
1000cc Injectors
255 Fuel Pump
272/272 or 272/280 Cams
2.0 pistons
FMIC
Ported Stock Throttle Body (or leave it stock)
Boost Controller
Tune
Will get you 450-500 on pump. Will be abit laggy if you run stock pistons (like me) but you will be running 450-500 easily.

First, thanX for all of your responses..

Seconds, I wonder, how would i some f you recommend a 2.3 stroker with 35R while each doesnt fit the other!!! the stroker would be risky above 7000RPM while the 35R usually works till ~8500RPM!!!!!

I was wondering, how would a 2.2L be with an HTA 35R??!?!?!?! You get to rev high and suit the turbo rev band!!! HOWEVER, I TOTALLY have no idea about the curve of this setup!! Approximately, at what RPM should I find peak torque(around 28 psi)??? and how would the setup be overall????

HOW MUCH WOULD THIS SETUP COST???

ThanX n advance!!

Go with a FP red, meth, cams, and a stand alone engine management system to get all u can from the set-up. port everything including the turbo and get all supporting mods and basic bolt ons (injectors, intercooler, all piping ect. ect.) . then call it a day. I have over 500whp on a red with meth and i love every minute of it! I turn 11.3's on blizzack snow tires. Check out sheptrans.com they have a vid of the worlds fastest FP red and it lists all mods too. good luck with the build.

I can rev my 2.3 liter stroker to 8500.

I don't do it often but I have done it.

and a 35r will make plenty of power WELL below 8500 rpm's

my car made 560 on pump gas on a low reading mustang dyno.

there are other setups that would also make 500 + on pump gas that might be better for your goals. If I were you I'd email or call buschur racing. OR search the forums for "project white" it's a car with a bad *** combination that seems simillar to what your looking for.

hta green(I think hta would get you your goals or very close, meth, kelford cams, double pumper buschur, tbe, 1000cc injectors, e85 or pump with meth

ecu flash, evo scan, mellon remote tunes ftw!(as where you are you don't have a tuner this is necessary and you have no dyno), boost gauge, egt gauge, oil pressure gauge, and wideband(most important)

much below 12 grand, save the rest for pistons/rods/gasket kits, oil pump, water pump, head resurface, disassembly and re-assembly.

pm me if you want more help

If I had that much cash, and didnt live in California (stealth is a way of life) I would run a 2.3 + TS HTA 35R from either ETS or Full Race on e85

...I will have this build one day when I can afford to pay a shop to bring it back to stock after getting popped by the popo

If you have that kind of cash flow ready then I would most definitely work the bottom end first to support whatever turbo setup you plan on running. To include your drivetrain. You mentioned you didn't want the lag, but everyone has limits to what kind of lag is considered "laggy". Some people can't wait for the 35R to spool up, while others, with the 2.3don't have an issue with it at all. Me personally, I would consider a HTA86 with 2.3 if my goals were specific to yours with mucho power and minimal lag. IMHO, I wouldn't even touch a stand alone with your goals in mind. Spend the money on the best stock ECU tuner and you'll save in the end fo sho and still attain your specific goals. ETS, Buschur, AMS, TTP and many others have done what you are asking, so personal preference is kinda where its at.. GL with whatever you decide and post your results along the way.
