this question is for the gurus , i have recently bought a setup of Evo 6 from a junkyard , the car was being crushed due to some legal issues.

what i need to understand is that i need to use it in a 1999 Lancer , the setup is fitting bolt on , but i wana go for FWD and have fun with the machine.

can any of the gurus tell me if its possible to have a FWD option or any other gearbox from any other engine which bolts on to the 4G63 engine.

also what are the work around , all helps will be highly appreciated.

Hmm I am sure you will be able to use a standard FWD 5-Speed from a generic Lancer hooked up to the Evo 6 4G63 engine. Or it may need a custom bell-housing?

Though I have to ask why? You are better of transplanting the full drivetrain unless you want insane amounts of wheelspin and a lot of torque steer sending you towards the kerb...

well actually i am just waiting for the right car to go AWD , for now i just want to start this up by coupling the FWD transmission and installing the front cut from the wasted car , it should be clip to clip and bolt to bolt ... please do advice some links or engines / when you say generic lancer.
