Fp hta green
So i have not really seen that many posts about this turbo. i am getting ready to upgrade from a stock turbo and this seemed like my best bet, but i have also seen good results with the tomei arms turbo and the bbk series turbos. does anyone have dyno results comparing these, i want stock like spool with a nice boost of power, i was looking at the red but i think it might be too laggy, the car is daily driven and runs on 91 cali gas all the time so i dont think ill be boosting too high, but i do race autox and track days in which case she will get 100 oct. what are your opinions? boost should be low for most circumstances, no more than 25 psi on race gas.
and yes ive searched for the hta green results with no luck. so yeah if anyone can tell me anymore about this please give me your input

I think a better route would be try and increase your octane level via e85 or meth injection. looking at what people gain on that and bbk / green results, I would say that you would benefit from improving your fuel more than upgrading the turbo. the bbk gave away 250rpm spool for me while providing more power (that I could easily feel) from 6krpm onwards. feels good when I go for a spirited drive and ring out the rpms, but living in the city during everyday driving I do not benefit much (if any) from it. so, work on trying to improve fuel before turbo if possible so you can run more moost. if not, BBK is pretty good tradeoff if you do not mind more power at higher rpm for sligt loss in spool (would work as advertised in a race or track conditions)

For what you're looking for, you should definitely stay away from the Red as yes it will be too laggy. I don't know anything about the tomei arms. However, I have heard GREAT things about the CBRD bbk full plus it has a great turnaround time (few days vs. 4 weeks for FP). Supposedly (from my reading) CBRD designed the BBK to beat the FP Green, and then FP created the Green 73 HTA to beat the BBK. IF you look at the numbers, the Green should beat the BBK Full in a test, but not by much. That is why I went with that turbo (even though I have to wait) plus it was a couple hundred cheaper with my core. If the price was the same, I probably woudl have went with the BBK Full. I know this probably doesnt answer your question, but hopefully helps in your decision.
Everytime I called Forced performance I got a response from either Amber, Robert himself or other staff. HTA greens are ready to ship as we speak.

HTA green is ... Awesome!
I haven't dynoed my car yet, but its day a and night difference than the original green. you really need to go from green to HTA to appreciate the difference.
I had 4 track days on green then another 3 with the HTA, and I still have a huge smile under my helmet every time i hit boost
seriously.. how can you hate this beauty
*im going to spice up my setup with e85... damn vettes lol

I talked to both FP and CBRD, and they gave me good feedback on both turbos regarding road racing.
OP, i really recommend you call chad/Kaleb(sp?) at CBRD and aniel/brain@FP.. tell them your application and they will guide you the right way.
2 reasons why i went HTA green:
A) at that time there wasnt much comparison between HTA and BBK full
B) I had green and it cant be converted to BBK due to the housing, and i guess thats what sealed the deal and made me go HTA green.
Hope this helps and honestly you cant go wrong with both turbos.

I'm going with the HTA green within a week on e85, this thing looks promising.
This turbo is also going to be tested on the White RS shopcar at awd. Which previously made 552 on the bbk full.
