Magnus vs Driven Innovation intake test

Update new graph that include the stock intake test vs Magnus and Driven Innovations

Hello guys on my quest for more power on my own EVO 9 I decide to buy the Magnus v5 intake manifold (cast) after see so many good reviews.
At that moment my car dyno 566whp on the stock intake manifold and TB.
I buy the Magnus unit that David Buschur use for testing since he already have the UICP included.
The result with the Magnus intake was 615whp with 93oct. pump gas.

After using the car for few weeks I decide that I want more midrange and decide to see if the Driven Innovation intake really do that.

I call Tom and put my order on the small plenum intake manifold.

The result with the Driven (DI) intake manifold was 614whp at the peak on 93 oct. pump gas but a very nice increase on the midrange that was exactly what I was looking.
I know that alot of people was looking for this comparo and I decide to put my money and see the results on my own car.

UPDATE Graph with Stock intake vs Magnus vs Driven Innovations

Green line stock manifold
Red line Magnus intake
Blue line Driven Innovations intake

I think with this graph everybody are going to see the complete results, I just arrive from the dyno and decide to print the 3 graph.
No more guessing.
The result against the stock manifold demonstrate that both units are great products, on my taste I prefer the Driven Innovations because the car have more area under the curve and more usable power but both unit are great products.

My current Mods are
AEM EMS
RC 1200cc
JO Alignment shortblock
Full Race header
FP HTA88
Cosworth M2
HeadGames cyl. head
Buschur FMIC
Buschur UICP
Buschur Double fuel pump system
Stock TB
Injen cat back
Dynatek COP

Soon I am going to test with the VP race gas.

Gadiel

I guess this is confirmation of the results Dave achieved.

Can't wait for AMS to lay their cards on the table and put up their inlet against DI.

That DI manifold is the sh|t. Now if I can get my long-time buddy who won the Shootout Q16 and fastest ET to donate the DI manifold that he won...

Gadiel thanks for the post!

40-30 whp/wtq in the mid-range without sacrificing top end is a very nice gain over an after market manifold.

Im very glad that you tried my manifold!

Now only if we can get the race gas comparison.

Glad to see you saw the same results, overall, as I did. Your car is making some very good power on pump gas!
