there are lots of things that you need for cam upgrades, but talk to a tuner and tell him your goals. i would recommend the kelford or the comp cams

Would it be worth while to go with a set of Kelford/GSC 272's or 280's? It will not be tracked, just a fun street toy. Im guessing its probably not worth it, but just wanted to hear some opinions. Thanks!
I had GSC S1 272 cams, with my stock turbo and I loved them. Then I just recently upgraded my turbo to the HTA GT3586. I really didn't have to, but to really get the maximum potential of the turbo I upgraded the cams to GSC S2 cams. Plus I needed to upgrade the springs and retainers for my new cams. It was a little costly, but it was so worth it. You would definitely feel and hear a difference especially since the HKS cams are not very aggresive.

I would go with a set of Kelford 272's, 280's or GSC S2's. Dual valvesprings and retainers are a must. Is the head on the car orig, or has it been ported? You may want to consider doing that as the oe head can't flow enough for some of these larger lift cams. Good luck with it.

Yeah those are real good suggestions. As you'll see in the cam test. I have GSC S2 and my friend has Kelfords, and they both run great. Awesome cams.

Thanks for all the input guys! Im currently running Ferrea Valves, Springs (not sure if dual) and retainers. I just bought this car and the owner was unsure of a few things. He said the heads may have some mild port work if any at all.

Even your old setup would benefit from Kelfords or GSC's
