Cam upgrade worth it???

I'm currently running a 37r on built 2.0 with all the supporting mods. I'm having a 6262 installed next week. Im currently running an HKS 264/272 cam setup.

Would it be worth while to go with a set of Kelford/GSC 272's or 280's? It will not be tracked, just a fun street toy. Im guessing its probably not worth it, but just wanted to hear some opinions. Thanks!

Probably. Or even some of the more agressive like the 280's. It will be worth it.

A 6262 on a 2.0L, I can imagine your powerband is way up top. The more agressive cams will help with that.

I know there is a lot of variables but any guesses on how much whp gain I would see, between the 272's and 280's vs my current setup?

Send a PM to TedB as he definitely knows his bumpstick sh*t. Otherwise try the BR BF 272's.

Go bigger! The Kelford 272s & GSC S2s are the best cams on the market IMO

It's not all about duration numbers, it depends on the cam manufacturer on how aggressive it actually is. My jun 272's are far more aggressive than my old hks units.

^ Correct the lift between an HKS and a Jun is huge! +1 for more lift. The duraration just moves the powerband to the left(lower dur) and to the right(higher dur).

Actually, the difference in lift between JUN and the HKS is zero!

The reason why the JUN cams make considerably more power is due to their more aggressive ramp design (requires a valvespring upgrade), and longer effective duration. The JUN cams remain a very good option for a stock head, which cannot respond to larger lift.
