Testing the AWD 1000R Billet 67 mm Turbo - 820 whp
I am reporting about my tests on the AWD Motorsports 67mm Billet 1000R turbo which I installed on my Dyno Flash Evo 8 for testing with race gas
Some basics on my set up
Buschur 2.0 L Short Block 9.0 / 1 A/F
Shearer Sidewinder T4 header
Jun cams
HKS Kansi Intake
AEM EMS
Headway Performance Head
With my previous turbo a base line of 750 whp (uncorrected - 777 corrected) was enough to get me 3 9.7 passes at 145 mph at the DSM Shootout
I wanted to try AWD's new turbo combination so this weekend I took advantage of a few days of down time to finally test the new turbo
The end results show similar spool up and more top end power so I am very pleased with the performance of the new turbo
I did however, find that my valve springs seem to be floating a bit over 8300 so I have yet again a new project to work on when I find the time LOL
Thanks to Mike and the whole team at AWD for the help and support !

Al, what was the previous turbo? In the video, you mention that it has a 7-blade billet compressor, but what is shown in the video doesn't look like a billet compressor wheel. On the other hand, the billet compressor of the replacement is immediately recognizable as such in the video.
