People that are running front facing turbos are running aem or another standalone system.

I was looking at this today and was thinking of switching my MAF sensor out. Looked more durable. Thought it might help you. Its a GM MAF Sensor and a MAF translator, gonna need both of them. Don't know if you gonna need a tune for it. Maybe someone can put an input on it if any of ya'll have it.

They are running speed density...they do not have a maf, so the honeycomb would be irrlevant in that situation

yes and that is my point on how the honeycomb is irrelevant when it comes to measuring speed, volume...etc
anwyays, either way, i think the op would be fine for the time being, but if u ask me, i would do what some of the guys were suggesting to epoxy it or something.

ive used a GF Maf and translator and it worked awesome but it was a pain to retune the translator box and then tune the stock ecu so i switched to a AEM when i went front facing, runs better then stock and havent looked back since

My car runs fine without it like I said earlier. I have a wideband, am very observent, and it is solid. I think you guys should really be giving advice and your experience. Not false facts to how every car is going to run. Like saying that it MAY have a problem. All cars are different and mine is very very solid without the honeycomb! Also, trust me, my car has been logged and revised more over the past few years than most people could every imagine. I will not allow my car to do ANYTHING poorly or weird. I would never reccomend anyone to take it out, that was a risk I did with my own car, but in your case, why spend money to put it back in if not needed?

I'd switch to speed density.

I hope this doesn't happen to me...
