What shifter bushings to get?

I have installed both speed source and ams bushings in cars. I have the speed source base and underhood metal ones in my personal car because a) they were the first offered and b) I tried the poly underhood ones and the effect was negligible at very best :/ Either way, go all metal underhood and base and you'll never look back

In this application, there is no reason whatsoever to use anything except all aluminum or brass bushings. This creates no noticeably increased vibration or other unwanted effects, and the metal bushings give by far the most positive feel - like a rifle bolt.
In most cases as with drivetrain and body bushings, it's best to go with what is stiffer but tolerable where transmitting vibrations are a factor. That often calls for poly. In this case, there are NO drawbacks to going ALL metal at the shifter base and under the hood.

Just looking at the picture of that thing it looks like it's bent the wrong way (opposite to all of the others that I see around here).
It's looks like it leans forward away from the driver. Is that because the pic has been reversed or is this for a right hand drive car (JDM) or what?
It also says it's for an VIII but I guess that doesn't matter, IX uses the exact same piece it looks like.
any ideas?

If you look closely at the pic, you'll notice that the center ball of the shifter is adjustable in height and angle, meaning that the ball can be turned around and get that angle facing towards the back of the car instead of the front which is how is shown. Apart from this, there's a small angle in the factory shifter that makes it stand right in the middle of the center console. I've thought about getting one from eBay and try to bend it, but I'm afraid of damaging it in the process...
Any thoughts?
