What shifter bushings to get?

I've been doing some research on getting some new shifter bushings instead of those crappy stock rubber ones that are already in there. Anyone know of nice bushings that I should look at purchasing? poly? steel? what?

thanks

I take it you mean the underhood bushings and not shifter base bushings. I have brass underhood bushings. Unless your old bushings have an issue don't even bother. It made such a slight difference for me it wasn't even worth it.

Well I am having trouble... I believe it is coming from the underhood bushings because when i shift.. it seems to get stuck sometimes. It feels like some rubber getting stuck in the middle of my gears. Its weird.

I went with the poly bushings. Easy install for the shifter base bushings.

A lot crisper shifts, but I also have a SS clutch line, poly engine mounts, and brass under hood shifter bushings.

I got the AMS ones listed below. They are CNC Machined aluminum bushings. Tighting up the shifter feel a lot and won't tear like rubber. Buschur makes a nice set to.

You can also get the Shifter Base Bushings too.

speed-source.net only ones i used on my DSM and EVO under the hood and for the base of the shifter. it was a more direct shift and you can feel it. morelike the rifle bolt action. Which shift are you having issues with because it could always be syncros holding it up......

I had good luck with the speed source underhood shifter bushings. I definitely noticed a difference in shifter feel. It gave the shifter more of a solid feel going into gear as opposed to the stock rubber bushings which had a flimsy feel to them.

I'm also using the Speed Source bushings and am happy with them. Makes a nice difference, especially for the price.

I have the speed source under hood bushing and I felt a difference with them. The rubber feel is definetly gone with my shifting.
