Exclamation Help Needed ASAP! Car not running properly!

Heres the problem...

When I go WOT (in any gear) on my friends 2003 Evo VIII it stutters and barely moves like something is clogged somewhere or something...ocassionally it will backfire but it sounds like a backfire from the engine bay not the exhaust...

it boosts 16psi and it takes forever to get to 7000rpm...then after that run we pop the hood and the turbo hotside is RED HOT im talking about GLOWING...

what could be the issue here?

the car is BONE STOCK other than a open filter and a mbc...the mbc is set to the lowest setting (Forge UNOS)...its been acting up for a while now...

any suggestions as to what might fix this problem will help greatly!!!

I am confused. So the car will barely move at all when it is in gear? or You can drive it and just at WOT it starts to sputter? You can still accelerate under some gas right?

yes when the gas isnt at WOT the car is ok...under full boost/WOT something happens...and the car feels restricted...

after doing a run of 2000rpm to 6000rpm in 2nd gear which took a while to get it that high the hotside was RED HOT...it freaked me out so we didnt boost anymore after that...
