A Quieter Buschur Racing exhaust

I have to admit, although I love the Buschur Racing turbo-back on our shop Evo, the sound is a little bit...uh...loud for my tastes. I'm a married guy with a three-year-old daughter, and the car definitly turned heads at the nursery school pickup line. So, with that in mind, I asked David Buschur to cook me up something a little more discreet. (After he gave me a hard time about it for being a wuss, he humored me...)

After doing some muffler shopping, I settled on a nice 3" Magnaflow. It is heavier than the super-light Buschur Racing one, but the sound quality and volume is just what I wanted -- a lower tone, with a lot less high-frequency noise, and a quieter volume level.

If you're in the DC area, come by and you can hear it in person -- the full 3" BR turbo-back system (with cat and the Magnaflow muffler) is on our shop car now, and I like it so much it'll probably stay on there.

If you can't make it by, I took some video footage with my little digicam (3 MB download):

We've added this system (both cat-back and turbo-back versions) to our web site now, and you can also order it from Buschur Racing directly.

Go with the RMR exhaust great design excellent quailty and a great deep sound but not too loud like alot of the others out and there's is the only one that meets the 93-95Db.

Dan,

From what I can tell that sounds perfect. I used to have an Audi S4 with a Neuspeed G2. That exhaust was the perfect balance of around town growl and burble but would totally shreak at WOT. How does this system sound @ WOT?

I may be hitting you guys up in a few months when I'm ready to bust the "mod cherry".

Get the what? Sounds to me like this is pretty darn quiet now!

Price is going to stay the same as or normal system, $450 cat back, $300 downpipe, $150 high flow cat.

The weight on the system is going to still be the LIGHTEST out there other than OUR other muffler option. This Magnaflow muffler only added 4 pounds or so. I will weigh the next one I build.

93-95 decibels is a pretty high limit, the Magnaflow muffler will meet that.

Can we get some high quality audio (preferably with video) of the stock buschur compared to this one? I wasn't a fan of what I heard from the regular buschur but maybe this one is more to my taste.

For reference I like the RMR turbo back a good amount.
