I mean no disrespect, but believe me when I tell you that it was more or less 'trash' before it blew up.
That being apparent, investing $1k+ into rebuilding this turbo would be the worst decision one could make. Strongly consider a more capable replacement. If you do, you'll end up glad that HKS turbo blew.

The HKS turbos utilize Garret components so they can be easily swapped. Right now I'm in the process of switching my HKS 3037s turbo setup to a HTA 3076, but I'm still using the HKS hotside. You can buy the HTA 3076 turbo minus the hotside from FP for $1400 brand new, then just put on your old hotside. You might be able to also buy just the HTA DBB cartridge and use your existing comp and exhaust housing, but I'm unsure of the size of your current comp housing and if the harger wheel will fit in there...but nonetheless, some food for thought....by the way, I have a used HKS 3037s that I'm waiting to get back from FP that I will be selling if you are intrested for cheap.
