Clutch question

Please if you guys have a minute take a look at this exedy clutch and tell me what you think. The description says it is almost brand new. My clutch is shot and need a new one ASAP, this retails for 610 and i'm bidding 250 right now. Let me know. Thanks

Looks like a decent price for it, depends on how he treated it when it was in the car, DD or really beat the hell out of it. Ask him. If possible, price a rebuild kit for it too. Did this type of clutch have the SD and HD models, Exedy website says it does, unless this is an older model? If so which one is this?

It's the thick model for street use. The thinner one is for track use only. He says there was only 1000 miles put into the clutch, just broken in before he totalled his evo. But that's what everybody says, specially when trying to sale a used clutch.
What do you think from the pics?

Its very difficult to say from looking at pictures in regards to clutch condition sometimes. But it seems like it has material.

If you want I can sell you my CCI stage 4 (6 puck ceramic) for 150.00 shipped. Currently on car but coming off this weekend. I put around 6,000 miles on it since the install in June . Been to the track 2 times and have about 20 launches, never over slipped/burned the clutch and always gripped. Reason I'm taking it off is because its way too much over kill for me. This clutch grips really hard and all puck style have chatter when doing soft starts from stand still.

Clutch alignment tool and brand new NON OEM TOB included. But I recommend you get an OEM TOB just for the piece of mind.

i would ask him to measure the amount left on the disc. I know on the twin discs it comes with 4mm thickness on each disc. And i believe the minimum is 3mm. So that's how you can measure how much life the disc has left. Again, i am not sure how much a single disc is supposed to have, call Exedy 18003466091 if you have any questions. They are extremely helpful and great people.

Or get BluEVOIX CCI clutch, hes selling it to you pretty cheap =]

yeah when going aftermarket on the clutch you should always get a flywheel with it. Just get the exedy flywheel to complete the kit.
