Todays update-
Fixed the base pressure over run for the time being with an Aeromotive pump controller. It drops the voltage at idle-3k and now the base is down to 43.5psi like it should be. I drove the car to lunch, the dyno, and back to the shop. 24 miles so far only 76 to go

There is only one injector that is being used for the high impedance 2000+cc injectors. They have all the same pros and cons as the ID2000s. Jens didnt initially offer them (retail will be around $900) because he wasnt certain there was going to be enough market share to warrant developing the Bosch CNG injector into something we could use.

Still putting miles on the new motor and it should be ready to go to the dyno tomorrow. In the meantime we needed the old block for a customer so I decided to take some pics of my old pistons and bearings:
I knew that this stuff was either good or bad and no in between, but I was surprised in this things 55k life there wasnt any indication of knock on the pistons. Bearings looked like standard higher mileage usage but are clean and no real wear.

Thank You!
I appreciate your sharing with us how your Old Motor's Piston tops and Rod bearings look after 55,000 miles of high performance use. It shows attention to maintenance and proper tuning, and a knowledgeable Owner. I hope all goes as well with your tuning efforts on your new Motor.

Pressed in or pulled through, then torqued to spec. You can do them in car though if that whats you were wanting to know Eric. Those happen to be the stock ones that Mitsu put in the car in Aug 05 when it was built. I am going to send one of my old ones as well as some known good ones to you for that one sideproject. Before anyone asks, the piston had been washed with E85 on a regular basis and then switched back to pumpgas. The spot on the bottom side of the crown is carbon not a hot spot.

^they're running a good % of ethanol down in South WA. Those of us that are further North (up I-5 anyway) don't have as many options.
So do you think you'll get her on the dyno today, Aaron???

Pat,
We run e85 most of the time out here...and E98 for raceday. My car had been on E85-E98 on the Green and Stock turbo but went back to gas in april when the 3586 had gone on. It didnt take long to clean the pistons all the way off with the ethanol and apparently not too long to carbon back up on gasoline.
Daniel,
Looks that way. Got the small issue with the MIVEC sorted, and are finishing up on the high side voltage switch for the fuel pump. Should have it back out for a test drive pretty quick and if all goes well it will be on the dyno tonight or tomorrow night...hopefully tonight.

I am sure we can but I am not sure on shipping fuel and rules there in so I have no idea what is allowed and what isnt. Your fuel doesnt have ethanol blended into it even in small amounts?
pat,
