this setup sure is inspirational.

Just a quick question, how come you tune it so rich? what are your tuning methods with fuelling?
I thought max power was about 12.5:1 AFR? (0.85 lambda ish)
Or have you done testing playing with AFR vs ignition timing and have found that you make the best power with around 11.5:1 to 12:1 AFR?

Mike,

Between 11.0 and 12.0 it is a difference of 5whp with no other changes other than being leaner. Boost and timing, knock threshhold. etc. are all the same and the 12.0 only makes 5whp more. I tune to 12.0 on the dyno wideband which is at the tailpipe and is more like 11.5 in my in car

Amazing power! Looking at the logs Im confused as to why the front o2 reads 0.72-0.76 range? Is it faulty?

Good catch. IT was a new sensor, but when they get sprayed with coolant they dont seem to last too long. I dont use the NB to tune anymore anyway so as long as it keeps the CEL off for being stuck lean its okay. It cycles still for the little closed loop I have enabled so I havent bought yet another new one.

Yeah I figured..im still using the NB as my guide and shoot for 0.89-0.90. Do you know what that correlates to on the wide band?

Edit: This might be what you are seeing on your setup and possibly a faulty o2. I doubt this is where im at unless my car likes, no loves it that lean. Ill take Aarons word for it if you dont mind!

Pardon me, I didn't realize you were looking at narrow band O2 voltage in a WOT log.

As for what it equates to in the way of WOT A/R, no one can give an accurate answer that question, simply because narrow band O2 sensors are increasingly inaccurate and unreliable as actual AFR deviates from stoichiometric.

All done on pumpgas. Still no knock, but the spike and the 10:1 have me mildly concerned on 92 octane. I'll put up the logs when I get home for all to see
