Buschur intake fitment issues

So I installed a used Buschur intake today. There appear to be two problems.

First, it seems like the bottom of the intake is hitting, basically sitting on, the lower coolant line. Is this normal?

Second, the filter sits up so that when I shut the hood it hits the filter. I can't imagine this is normal. I am just going to find a coupler with a 30 degree (approx) bend to remedy the situation.

Anyone else experience these issues?

My hood has a bad rub spot from the filter too. Its just the way it sits unfortunately, but if you rotate the pipe at the turbo toward the firewall a bit, it will give some clearance between the filter and hood thats how I stopped mine from rubbing. I do belive the bottom sits on the lower coolant line too, but hasnt caused any problems there.

Ok cool just making sure I wasn't doing something wrong. I think I am going to track down a silicone coupler with a bend in it to take care of the problem.
