Forge DV Bucking

I seem to get "bucking" when ~3800 rpm ~ 10 - 13 psi part throttle conditions (e.g. going up a hill and just wanting to maintain speed). This is happening with the Blue spring and one shim installed - should I use a softer spring or a firmer spring ?

What is causing the bucking ? - is the DV not releasing air back into the intake (i.e. too stiff a spring) or is the DV releasing air back into the intake (i.e. starving the engine of air and thus too soft a spring) ?

I have read numerous threads on flutter, but none that explained why the bucking was occuring or how to resolve.

My setup is a stock 9 turbo with peak boost ~29 tapering to ~22 at redline.

That's why im taking my forge off tomorrow and replacing it with my new Synapse

Gradually increasing your throttle is all you can do when lightly accelerating under low boost..

The dv could be leaking. Try switching back to stock to see if it remedies the problem. If not, then do a leak test.

I am trying to understand the mechanics behind what is happening...

Thanks for the feedback, but it is the DV....If I put the stock one on there is no problem....I spoke to Patrick @ Forge today and he acknowledged the issue and provided the standard try softer and try firmer springs....
