Boost gauge needle vibrating/shaking
I have an autometer boost gauge and I can't get the needle to stop shaking when at WOT. I am using the same rubber vaccum line that I have always used on boost gauges. I think it is 10/32 but not absolutely sure. Basically the same diameter as many of the stock lines in the car.
I tried to stick a piece of the hard white tubing that comes with the autometer gauge into the rubber line to act as a "reducer" of sorts. Didn't work. I don't want to use the hard line if possible as it is pretty difficult to work with.
Anyone have any ideas or tricks? I have seen that a few companies sell special "t" fittings that are supposed to help the problem. However, this just seems strange because I am using the same boost gauge install method I always have, but for some reason this time it isn't working so well.

needle should remain stable, but due to different t's off of the same source and/or compressor surge will make the needle shake. Mine does it and it happened after I changed my Tial Bov to a Synapse Bov. I don't mind if though...

I would suggest teflon-ing the fittings to start with. Second, don't rely on a boost gauge to measure your boost, use a map sensor.
Also, boost gauges are HORRIBLE at reading BOOST TAPER. I have a Defi BF and it reads 1.5psi above what my map sensor is logging. It will also fluctuate about 1-2psi while the boost tapers, when the map sensor is reading otherwise.
