Help My competition Clutch Wont Disengage At around 2500 RPM's

So i got a Brand new Stage 3 Competition Clutch (Full Face disc)

Had it professionally installed at a local shop.
Used OEM TOB,
Resurfaced Fly wheel,
installed new Slave Cylinder.

Now When the car is coasting to stop lets say fourth gear... the clutch doesnot disengage even with the pedal in all the way... If i push anyfurther my foot would go through the fire wall... Now in order to force it to disengage i have to rev the engine ... then the Disk lets go and i can take the car out of gear.

Clutch Has about 1K Miles...

I took it back to the shop ... we blead the clutch like 3 times... adjusted the pedal to the highest point... Nothing helped.... The clutch still doesnt disengage.

The Fluid in the system is consistent and i have kept an eye on it for leaks...

This is getting very annoying... Almost $1400.00 of parts and labor for a clutch that doesnt disengage.

Some have said replace the master cylinder.... Before i dump any more money... I wanted to get your opinion on the matter here.

I'd suggest it's 4th gear synchro/selector fork which is giving you grief.

If you can change all other gears without issue then it's not a clutch problem plain and simple. If you have an Evo IX with the 6 speed made by LEGO © chances are it will be the 4th gear selector fork, that and the synchro. Do a search on it and you'll find you are not on your own regarding 4th gear problems.

Did the shop verify the flywheel was machined properly?

I have a GSR 5 spd and sometimes when

i park it in first gear... turn the car off

and then when i restart and get ready to go i have to rev the engine to get the clutch to disengage all the way and then im able to shift from first to reverse.

You never had issues with the stock clutch? I'm really thinking these are flywheel issues so if I were you try and get the shop to redo the labor for free and buy a Comp lightweight flywheel and toss your stock one in the garbage.

Thanks Cracka... It was the stupid flywheel.

Man you have no idea how much agrevation this thing caused me.

The machine shop had not machined this flywheel true. After a log phone calls and just leaving my car there at the shop for the week. They finally decided to reopen the trans.

However they are charging me $300 since the fly wheel was not really their fault.

Wait!!!

Did you get the flywheel resurfaced or did they do it through their own connections?

If they did it through their connection and charged you for it, then it is totally their responsibility and you shouldnt pay. Fight for that 300, they should take it as a loss for not checking the flywheel or at least charge their resurfacer and not you.

Get this man (they had the flywheel surfaced)... i got the car back... they did charge the $300 and Plus the alignment is off... thats another $69. And the inside of my car smells like some one smoked a cigarette in it.

Im going to National Tire and Battery for an alignment tommorow. Once i get the spec sheet i will post a very detailed review about this shop... they are a very active member here on EVOm... ill make sure that everyone on in my regional forum see how they treated me.
