Here is my whole deal with this. If your making a didicated drag car its only duty is for that records etc then im all for the 2.0 2.1 for sure. But since yours will be mostly DD and little drag time im saying stroker is hands down the better choice. Being able to gain that nasty spool is key for sure but i understand the 2.0 can be cheaper in some cases . I think you should go ride in a stroked evo and then you will change your mind for sure. Also i saw earlier wizzo was knocking TT manley make no mistake those rods have been around for a minute and are extremely strong and WELLLL tested nothing wrong with them. the Howards maps might be lighter but that does not make them superior by any means.
I'm sticking with the Manley connecting rods. Not that I don't like the MAP rods, I just haven't seen that many builds done with them and when the Manley's work as well as they do...why change it up?

Whoa I was not knocking them. They are very good rods and very well tested. Like I said I was originally going to get them. I just want to be different I guess and go with the Howards rods. My one buddy has them in his car and is getting close to the 700whp mark. Thats proof enough for me.

This is what I told him porting of the exhaust side can go along way along with a tubular manifold there are dyno charts on here from tubular manifolds adding 20+hp on stock turbo no think Adam how much more it would be on a built car

Well.....it's official-
I blew the FP Black......she has shaft play
Guess I have to call FP tomorrow...good thing it's still under warranty.
Wost part about it...is I maybe had 1500 miles on it?? Guess that's why she's been smoking...either way I am going to continue pulling the head this weekend to inspect both the head and the block.
The battle continues.........

Word, thats my plan.
I think I am going to continue building it. I mean the #2 cylinder still has low compression and is out of spec whether the turbo is blown or not.
I'd rather not wait so I don't put a rod through the block and then have to buy a core...

I'll call FP in the next hour or so to hopefully get this straightened out
I just faxed them my warranty card...which I never received originally (and didn't know until about 3 weeks ago that I needed one) because I bought the turbo before it was publicly available.

And this is why I may have to go with an FP3586 as my next turbo. A turbo meant to be big. not knocking the black because there have been good experiences with it but it just seems a bit too picky. on the upside, my red has done great with my setup. SO much low end and mid range with the stroker...I just want some more top end.

I never got a warranty card im Positive Fp knows who I am and my build maybe ill call them and ask to see whats up. Sorry about your turbo man but you know the saying When it rains it pours boss. So you have no choice but to fight though this and get it right. Dont forget your having to build your motor anyways so rather have it done now then have it all back together and then bam its done.
