Using port on Oil filter housing for FP oil feed line, now where do I put oil temp?

I am installing the FP oil feed line for my new Green 73HTA turbo. Problem is, I currently have two gauges right off the oil filter housing. (oil pressure and oil temp). Anyone know where else I can get my oil temp from? Perhaps I should focus on another gauge? Currently I have boost, oil pressure, and oil temp.

Look for the two pipe plugs on the cylinder head behind the thermostat housing. I believe that they access the camshaft oil passages. You should be able to use either of the two. Someone posted that the oil pressure is restricted in these passages, but they should be acceptable for oil temp.

You can use the spot where your old turbo oil line was, on the cylinder head.

what size threads is on the cylinder head? I know they give you a short bolt to put in that spot because if you use too long of one it disrupts the oil patch.

I believe it's M10x1.25 thread. It's originally set-up for a Banjo, so you would have to take that into consideration for connecting to it.

Thats a VERY good idea. I never thought about that. Id probably use the pressure sensor though, so the temp probe doesnt go too far in the fitting and block the flow of the oil.

Sorry to bring this back but I'm in the same boat. I don't like the sandwich adapter because it puts the filter closer to the ground which could be hazardous. I see 2-3 plugs in the head that could possibly be used but not sure which one to use. Any info would be great.

I just used a street tee, and put the temp sensor and pressure sensor on the tee. No problems at all.

Napa always keeps these fittings in a section and they always got em in stock.
