Im still screwed. I spent all I had to put into fixing my car. I spent alot of money so that things like this wouldnt happen... Im not even counting the used tranny I purchased and installed 3000 miles ago.. or the 700 and something ACT clutch that came apart after 3000 miles and ruined it with no track use. This sucks
Sorry to hear about your troubles. That's the problem with cars for car guys. They make us spend money on them that we maybe shouldn't. One thing I always try and do is follow Richard Branson's (he of Virgin fame) advice:

"Limit your downside."

It's good advice to take in both business and your personal life.

I hope things get better for you, and good luck with the replacement parts

Im pretty concerned at this point.... I cant afford to pull it apart again really. Im getting a TOB and pressure plate... Is there a possibility that something else can be improperly machined? I dont have a choice in this matter really.. I don't know if this is damaging my brand spanking new TRE trans. Im going to have to fix this on my dime.. minus the warrantied parts... if it ends up being something else in this clutch...

Due to scheduling issues my mechanic has had to push my install back. We may actually be able to install it tomorrow. He did bring something to my attention though. It seems that the second disk is only engaging 50% of the splines on the nose of the input shaft.

I have sent an email to Spec01...
As a side note we are 100% positive that the clutch disks were installed facing the correct way according to the labels on them.

Send everything back to spec and get a different setup.. Youre gonna drop another 600 on the install just to see if it "might" work..... Alot of people are having problems, they shouldnt have been so quick to release the clutch without more testing.

Let me know if theres anything i can help you out with rob.

Cheers!

SPEC has offered to send me new disks with a revision to the offset of the hub so that the hub sits further on the splines. I dont really know how I feel about this..
