WOW! I can't believe anyone would say the ARP's are no better than stock. I lifted my head (bent the stockers) while only spiking 26psi!

Why would you cheap out over 100 bucks???

Ive had/seen regular studs give under high boost under 700hp.
Well, because as someone else brought up, while these may be the best choice for high horsepower, for lower horsepower set-ups where you can get away with it, these would be better. Let's say you get a bad tank of gas or make a tuning mistake. Would you rather lift the head and have to change the headgasket, or would you rather throw a rod or spin a bearing? Something's gotta give, for me, I'd rather it just be the head. Thats why after careful thought, I made my decision and ordered the standard ARPs.

The lube that comes with them is recommended. Oil can be used, but it is not preferable.

moly lube is what ARP supplies. If you use oil the torque spec changes. I am not 100% but i believe they get torqued higher with oil. I would stick with the moly lube .

If you can chase the holes to clear debris before putting the new studs in. A grain of sand or metal shaving can make or break ya. Something commonly looked over when installing, studs, bolts, etc... just thought I'd throw that out there in the mix.

I'm no stranger to headstuds and will p/u some arp "moly lube"...95ft/lbs is what i'll be torquing them down to. I've used motor oil in the past and ARP does give a tq. if using motor oil and it is higher than if using their "lube"
