Lose of Boost help
I have a PE Boost Controller. When it was first installed the boost would go to 90 kPa or about 13.1 PSI in first with the controller turned off. I had it set at 140 Kpa or about 20.3 PSI and it was working great. Well in the dark I accidently bumped the boost up to 150 kPa or about 21.8 PSI which was too much for 93. The car backfired and the service engine light came on. I took the negative of to clear it and it never came back on. But now, with the controller turned off, the boost only goes to 70 kPa or about 10.2 PSI and when I get to 90 kPa or about 13.1 PSI the whole thing just stops. I don't know if it is the turbo or engine stopping. It's like it's backfiring at 13.1 PSI. Is this a bad piston ring or bad fuel injector maybe?

Do a search... Seems like newbies need to be made more aware of that search button in the top right.
Again unexpierenced with the boost.... Accidently bumed the boost? wrong answer. What an accident, maybe you should be more careful since if it is a problem the dealer may void your Warrantee.
But seems like you had Detonation and thats a nogo. Or could be soemthing as simple as a loose conenction making a boost leak. Be more careful.
this is why drivers like you should consider a dynotune like Dynoflash offers. May have been a good investiment for you to prevent engine damage. Also it is a better way to bring out the lost power!
pm dynoflash to set this up. I highly recomend it!
