2nd gear grind (I searched)

Out of nowhere the other day since it started getting cold out i got a grind going into second gear and it goes away when the car is warm. i changed all my transmission fluid at around 13000 miles and i now have 14500 miles. i used redline 75w 90 fluid which was recommended and now im getting this grind does anyone have an idea what this could be? i really hope it isnt a synchro, the car hasnt ever been launched, power shifted, etc. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Seems to be pretty common. My trans does that when its cold as well. I don't even bother with 2nd gear until the transmission is warmed up. buddy of mine told me to to that and have not had any issues. I use OEM fluid..

Are you running MTL or MT-90? And have you ever had any miss shifts to 2nd where it ground on you?

i doubt its the redline. im running the mt 90 shockproof mix and i have no problem. sounds like u have one of those transes with the bad syncros that are common on some of them.
