ID 2000 injector COLD START

I am curious to know i currently have 880cc injectors and ever since i switched over from the stock injectors to 880cc injectors i have had to wait for my car to almost fully warm up so i can run the car NORMAL DRIVING without it farting or breaking up.

I wanted to know from experience of ppl who own the ID 2000 injectors if on a COLD START if the car runs like STOCK as they claim they do. Which is the car turns on from a cold start, and u can take off without the car breaking up

You need to get more familiar with ecuflash. You have a bunch of stuff that you can change/edit to improve driveability when cold. You can change max AFR when cold, the low coolant temp timing map, and the EGR duty cycle when cold. I've seen bone stock evo's have drive ability issues when cold. Its not the injectors in this case, it is the ecu code.

Yeah, my car drove like crap when it was cold on the stock injectors before using ECUFlash to fix it up.

Depends on how you tune them. There are additional maps that will help cold running if your tuner knows about them. I didnt notice any issues with my ID2000s nor have I with my FIC2150s.

Hey Aaron, is the car able to maintain AFRs to 14.7:1 without misfires under light loads with a cold engine? Open or closed loop.

Yes, on the large HI injectors it will idle and cruise. If anything it seems to want a tad rich according to trims (or if its off, based on WB) when cold. Some of that is the MAX rich AFR vs Coolant table though, since I have altered it some .

What kind of pulsewidths are you able to maintain on the low end with the stock ECU?

I've never seen the ECU show less then 1.5ms, but I also have never logged 2-byte IPW.

1.03 I believe. I will doublecheck but I know its well under 1.28/1.53 that you'd expect with normal sized injectors.

I had zero issues as well with my ID2000's. Cold starts on E85 sometimes can be a little tought but really no different then any other fuel.

more and more i read about these 2000's, the more i want them.

what fuel pressure are you guys running them at, and how low of a base fuel pressure can i go? rather try to limit fuel via FP instead of thru inj. mapping first so that the PW arent as small...but im afraid they'd drip or have an improper spray if i lowered it (say 38...40psi base).

I run both my FIC2150s and the ID2000s at 43.5psi base. I ran them at 58 as well before we modded my return line and voltage switch to get the base back down with the huge pump. They will tune out either way, but if you are concerned with trims, you cant run the O2 feedback at the high base pressure.

ID 2000 injectors

Yeah I heard those injectors ID 2000 are really nice I am running with eight injectors now with 1080cc and 560cc and I hear alot of evos have trouble starting in the cold but its worth dealing with because they are one hell of a fun car to drive. I plan on getting those new injectors hearing a lot of good things about them. I trying to find out how much they run.
