headgasket. =(
so 64xxx miles and my head gasket gave out....
32psi on FP Green (stock block) running 30psi for like 30,000 miles so i cant complain to much...just sucks...thought i would share.....
im doing stock head gasket with ARP head studs now....and contemplating port and poshing the head....but thats another $600 or so....so i duno (probably not)
oh and I just replaced the water pump and thermostat yesterday....
FML.

i asked about that....and my tuner said the stock gaskets are as strong as after market ones.
this is just one of those things that happens randomly...cause a guy running similar set up has 107,000 miles and at least 20 track days and still on stock gasket...and my tuners car has 80xxx miles with a 35r @ 30psi and still stock motor. im sure there are many others.
but if someone can chime in and explain why an after market head gasket is significantly better....
just for reference stock gasket is $60 and Cometic is $95

If you search the internet, you'll see pressure film testing done with cosworth, oem, and cometic head gaskets on the 4g63. The cometic was absolute trash compared to the oe and cosworth. I think the article was on motoiq.com
