Stroker Motor V.S Built 2.0L
#21
imo...u dont really need to worry THAT much bout tq. in a street race, most likely from a roll. if so, break boost will take care of ur lack of tq and the nasty top end of a built 2.0 will keep u ahead if u get the better launch...From a dig, ur 2 step will keep u from lagging i would hope...so i say build 2.0 + hta35. proven to kill...

I'm building a 2.0. Just from the fact that allot of drag racers still run that set up, and thats the way it came from the factory so there is allot of development time put into that motor.
That being said a 4G64 would be my choice if i was upping the displacement, it's a better balanced motor in comparison with a strocker 2.3.

built 2.0 (proven platform) also not to knock your tuner (i wouldnt trust a guy who uses an alias like "e-spec", or whatever that BS is) but nothing is going to be better than a fully built and blueprinted motor such as the ones that AMS and Buschur offer.
also might i suggest you buy a cheap second car (pay it off) just in case your evo takes a dump on you. ive had my share of motor/tranny/t-case failures. it sounds like your going to be beating the **** out of your evo with all that racing.
if your evo dies, the only boost youll be seeing is 5 hour energy drink while your walking home
