On TTP's Mustang Dyno maybe.

450 Mustang is 500-525 DJ and we can not do that on pump. 450 is average on a DJ for 92-93 octane. I have not see any 450 pump on a "creditable" mustang dyno. Call Bryan at GST and ask him what the pump record is on a Red!

This is a pump gas fully built 2.3L 460hp on 93 with the red on a DJ. Show me a 450hp Mustang that is not TTP https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...estr-tune.html

443whp on our dyno powered RyuEvoIX to 10.8 @125-126 on stock turbo

Most EvoRed's on pump 93 do 400-420whp on our dyno and we had only one do 459 with Kelford 272 cams MIVEC engine with Shearer External dump housing on 30-31psi.

Here's a friend of mine that recently had his car built by BR. You didn't mention if the car had to be stock motor, etc. His did 464 on pump gas.

Sounds like Buschur's Dyno reads higher than ours.

3rd gear was 440hp. All evos make more power in 4th, that's why we use 3rd as a general rule. Also 32psi on pump in a lot!

understood, but your post didn't say anything about gearing. Was just responding based on what was said. If it did, sorry I overlooked it.

Whose general rule?

Tuning in 3rd gear is a poor habit as it usually will knock in 4th when tuned to the edge in 3rd.

We tune in 4th because it is the last gear used in the quarter mile. It allows us to insure it is tuned for the proper load, AFR, timing and knock threshold so that when running the 1320', it is not pulling timing when you shift to 4th.

Its actually 457whp @ 100% smoothing factor.

Buschur uses 60% smoothing factor. 464whp @ 6% factory smoothing factor is likely like 470whp.

457whp @ 6% smoothing factor is likely 463whp as the title of the thread reads.

So the dyno calibration appears near identical.

i think your dyno read higher than buschur . Buschur mustang dyno with 500whp can run low 10s. But your 700hp car run 10.1. David buschur can back up my comment.

E.T. Has little to do with horsepower and more to do with weight.

For someone that "drives AMS's drag car" as you stated, one would think you would know something about this subject.

Back on topic.

oh ok so your 763 hp evo is probably really heavy, that is why she run 10.19 . And buschur 500 hp car run low 10s because his evo might weigh like 2500 lbs. Gotcha. And yes final time, i do drove ams car before. thank you

4th is easier to tune on the dyno, tuning in the street it's impractical. 3rd gear tuning works better on the street. 2k-8k in 4th is about 110-120+in most cars.
I tune 3rd myself for fuel and timing and tune boost in 4th gear.
