New revised QuarterMaster clutch months away!

I called QM yesterday and spoke with one of the tech's...
The redesign will consist of TWO main improvements....
-New designed cover (lighter and possibly more stiff?)
-Option of running a chromoly flywheel (heavier) or an aluminum flywheel with steel insert (lighter)
the idea of makign a heavy flywheel is that it improves the streetability of the clutch. I don't know that the current cover is deflecting or why they decided they needed to make the cover lighter...it was not explained.
The ETA I was given over the phone was 1-2 months from March 10th (When I called) This should work out very well with my schedule. I'll opt for the heavy flywheel.

I'm not sure exactly what information I can share as of yet, but some exciting stuff is in the works As a whole QM is looking to increase market share in what they called the "street performance market." Clutches will focus on driveability as well as power capacity, and yes they currently have a stock driveshaft that we supplied them to develop an aftermarket driveshaft
which one is mine buddy, the new or the old style, i would reckon the old style with your (map) flywheel?

Thanks for investigating and posting up Ernie
Howvere from the sound of it it doesn't seem to me that it will help the streetability all that much especially if the stiffer fingers will equate to harder pedal pressure as i'd find even more of a pain to slip from a dead stop.
Only way i see it becoming more streetable is by absorbing the shock from initial engagement but not sure how they address that w/o putting springs in the disc but at that point you're probably better off w/ an Exedy
If it really does help i'd be very interested to see if i could upgrade my original unit but i won't hold my breath

I found this while searching dsmtuners. I assume this is what the clutch will look like.
