Hmmm, after my current QM wears out, I might look at upgrading. Would the hydraulic release bearing for the original QM work with the new one?

How does the new version compared to the original in terms of engagement, drive-ability and most importantly the decel howling... The decel howling is what I dislike most about the original QM...

Also, what is going to be the difference between the 'Race' and the 'Street' versions - does QM consider the original a 'Race'...?

Lets get some vids up!

Engagement is worlds better, and noise at idle has significantly decreased. We haven't noticed any howling on deceleration. The original was a "Race" version, apparently changes will be made to the friction material and flywheel for the street version.

Great - can you post a vid? I want to see a 3rd or 4th gear decel... My current QM is pretty quite beside on decel... If the new one fixed this issue, you have a sale.

Can the HTB from the AMS exedy work with the QM Race version?? I'm sure this Exedy Twin is going to get pushed to the limits next week. I'm not sure how much they can hold but a friend made 789 whp on a mustang dyno and the torque was all crazy because he did a 4th gear pull on the AMS Exedy. We know this is going to be an issue down the road for how long they will last doing this. I'm very interested in switching to this clutch when this thing dies but was just curious if the HTB would work from one kit to another.

I do not believe so, but I could be wrong as I'm not very familiar with the AMS Exedy push conversion...
